Marcos Negrao
Director

In 2003, Marcos Negrão founded Enigma Filmes. His goal was to create a cinematic language that brings the audience closer to social and environmental issues, the concern for the planet, its people and cultures.

Working as director, producer, and cinematographer, Marcos has developed projects in more than 15 countries.  From the slums of Brazil, India, Kenya, and the Philippines to refugee camps in the Middle East and tribes in the Himalayas, Myanmar, and Amazon.

His recent films include the feature doc “The Broken Moon,” recognised with 25 awards including Amsterdam and Rome film festivals, and the popular “Vultures Have Wings” with 5 awards including Artivist Film Festival in Hollywood.

Andre Rangel
Director

Andre has been working in the Brazilian film industry since 2002. As a head editor, he was involved in several narrative films, documentaries, TV series, and institutional movies from the main Latin America broadcasters and production companies.

In 2007, Andre joined Marcos Negrao at Enigma Filmes and started directing global productions for customers like Discovery Channel, RAI, RTP, ARTE, and RTSI among others. In 2016, after accumulating 31 international awards Andre has moved his career to Holywood, California.

Johanna Schnell
Producer

Johanna is a world traveler and loves exploring new societies and cultures. She has a strong focus on understanding the relationship between man and nature.

As a film producer, she has developed documentary films in 8 countries, and has a wide experience with various languages and dialects. She is currently working on Child of Nature, which is expected to be released in early 2018.

Bianca McMahan
Producer

Bianca grew up in Rio de Janeiro with the desire to change the planet. Having an outgoing personality and curiosity to explore the world, she decided to move to United States right after finishing her B.A in Communications at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro.

Since then she has been producing and writing for numerous Los Angeles companies including, NBC Latin America, TV Global International, Globo News, The Hollywood News Reporter, and Red Carpet Reporter. In Hollywood, as an independent film producer, she has worked in films such as Man Camp and Brazil My Love. Passionate for documentaries, she is currently working on Child of Nature.

David Robert
Producer

David is a self-taught filmmaker, writer, and art director. After working in India as a creative director and a filmmaker, he moved to Los Angeles to make Original feature films for international audiences. In 2005, he made his first 50 Min short titled Chay Feet Neechay and instantly realized the power of digital production. David also worked on several Hollywood independent films as an Art director besides branding Reality TV Awards. He is one of the producers of riveting documentary RiSE, directed by Marcos Negrao. He has triple Masters in Public Relations, MBA and Film Producing.

Laura Magalhaes
Editor

Laura Magalhães lives in Rio but doesn’t like the heat; is in the middle of a doctorate in philosophy but hates academia; works in the audiovisual medium but doesn’t own a TV… Loves to travel, no buts.

She has just finished editing her first feature film, Aquilo que Sobra, after having been part of the team in documentaries such as 20 anos and Sérgio Bernardes; in TV series such as Por isso eu sou Vingativa; in short films such as Adeus à Síria and in web channels such as Porta dos Fundos.

Sabrina Gortz

Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Sabrina can’t stay away from nature for too long. Going to the beach with friends and hiking are amongst her passions, along with pottery and photography.

Sabrina started in the film industry in 2010 when she had the opportunity of directing and editing a short film called “Laura’s Dream”, selected for the 2012 Rio Film Festival. From there, she has edited more than 10 short films, 4 TV Shows and 3 feature films. She joined the “Child of Nature” crew in 2015.

Shea Solazzo
Social Media

Shea loves to travel, especially back Spain to visit her family, but will always return to her home in San Diego, CA. She enjoys spending time at the beach, hiking, or exploring the San Diego nightlife with her friends.

As the newest edition to Enigma Filmes, she provides social media strategy as well as marketing insights. She is currently working on the social strategy for the film, Child of Nature.
